Coupled Wave-Ice Modeling for Offshore Structures

I model coupled wave-ice interactions in the Laurentian Great Lakes using fully coupled FVCOM, CICE, and SWAN systems. The work investigates how evolving ice conditions modify wave fields and environmental loads relevant to fixed and floating offshore structures.

This research combines numerical hydrodynamics, ice mechanics, and environmental modeling to address a central challenge in cold-region offshore engineering.
